Lee: Ooph. Wow, what is happens to these notes? It started out good, but it's going nowhere fast. I really didn't like this 'kissed by a rose'. Lee looks super unprofessional. Time to GO, dude.

Big Mike: Think for 2 seconds of Michael Jackson singing this song. There. MJ is SOOO much better. Completely different league. This is what frustrates me about this show. They're going to fawn all over Big Mike because he did a somewhat acceptable job. But he's not even close to a professional.

Duet with Lee and xtal: I did mostly sit back and enjoy it! There will a few tiny moments of 'pitchyness', but overall it was REALLY good! Fun. Good.

Casey: His hair looks particularly good tonight. Um, did he forget the words? And then did he show us that he forgot the words by grimacing?!? Poor job. Too bad, it was quite a good rendition otherwise. Also, too much vibrato. His makeup is good too. His jacket is cool as well.

Bowersox: YEAH! That's what I'm talking about! And what a great song choice! The lyrics were very applicable! She's really so much better than the others. Go vote for Crystal.

Duet with Big Mike and Casey: They had to sing this song so they wouldn't seem gay. Terrible. It was pretty awful. They're no Simon and Garfunkel. Dude. And their voices don't seem to go together. I'll take a pass.

Wow, that's super cool that Harry Connick Jr is arranging the songs for them. I am very impressed, American Idol. Maybe I won't ditch you for Glee afterall.

NANCY SINATRA! LOVE HER! She's a FANTASTIC singer! Screw the Idols, let's hear her sing!

Aaron: I wish he would hold the mic like he meant it. He's no Sinatra. His performance really needs a lot of work - but this is ok, he's 16. Overall, I would give it an B+. Not bad.

Casey: I have high hopes, this is a great song. Oh no. The smile is back. Vocals just aren't great. Nothing makes my heart pitter patter. I would say... B. Also too much vibrato. Casey leaving this week? Possible. Do you agree? Leave a comment!

Crystal: Liking this sexy diva look! She has the voice to back it up. Excellent! A. Really, this is a whole new vibe for Crystal, I like that she can do it. And she looks so beautiful tonight! BOO-YAH! Take that American Idol - Crystal is still Crystal.

Mike, Big: I still think he ought to go home. It was pretty good (A-), but... not powerful enough. He's going to be another Ruben Studdard, dudes! Don't vote for him! He's not even as good as Ruben!

Lee: low energy. Maybe he has a gluten problem. Meh. It was fine. A-.

None of these Idols hold a candle to Mr. Sinatra, eh? Really makes you sit back and think about why Sinarta was a legend, and these dudes are not.

Ellen is ever hilarious. Again, slightly too much eye makeup for a blond. Holy crap, are the musician's screens digital?! Fancy!

Yeah, good! I already put her on notice. I'm a tad surprised, I would have expected Big Mike to go first...did the producers rig it? She was destined to go before the final anyway, it doesn't so much matter exactly when it still happens. And we all know the screaming was getting annoying, and the rest of the song wasn't so good, and while dressing oddly, she's sort of a lame duck in interviews (was she on anxiety drugs? she was so level and stoned during a lot of it).

This is the first time I've seen the votefair.org poll be so off - they had Miss Siobhan rated FIRST, with our obvious Big Mike/Aaron as most likely to go.

Votefair.org, can I trust you? You tell me every week that Cyrstal/Lee are tops, and I like to believe it, because a final without Cyrstal will see me leave American Idol forever for the greener pastures of Glee.

Yay! Isn't Shania FANTASTIC! Love her!

Now as for those contestants...

Lee. Starting without the guitar was hard for him. I am not loving this performance. He needs to step it up. Lee, you're on notice. A little pitchy at the start is a bit of an understatement, yeah?
Big Mike. Hate it. I do not think his body motions match the words of the song. Although I will give him props for the falsetto finish - that was sorta good.
Casey. I do like him when he's being serious, and doesn't have that side smile. So, overall, I like it. I just wish his voice a little more power for some parts of the song. Casey has to be careful with that double chin.
Crystal. Love it, love her still! For a wee bit of the song I wasn't that into it, but she characteristically brought me around right at the end - she was pure Crystal. I also love that she went uber country, it was hot.
Aaron. Good song choice! Ew, but a bit pitchy there. I dislike it as per usual, but for people that like that sort of thing, I think they'll love it.
Siobhan. Character. Huh. She used to have it....LOL! Did you see Shania's face? Siobhan is killing her song! HAHAHAHA. The song was awful and terrible, and yes, the scream was good.... but I don't know if it made up for the rest of the song. I do like the roses on her dress. Her lips are too sparkly. Distracting. She was certainly not sassy. She was sort of lame. And the tender way she holds the mic is particularly at odds with her supposed 'sassy' manner. That's it, Siobhan, we're breaking up! It's you, not me.

I think Big Mike is going to leave us next week.

Kara's necklace is pretty serious, eh? I can't look at her, all I see is necklace! I admit, I sorta like it.

Here on this Tuesday before the Big Show with Shania, I have these top 6 thoughts (in no particular order)

1. Crystal. Love her. She's still clearly in a league different from the rest of the contestants. I predict she'll kick a$$.
2. Siobhan. Used to love her. I am on the fence, tonight will or will not tip me towards hatred.
3. Lee. I predict he'll be pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Its about time we see some more personality, not just stage fright.
4. Aaron will probably do well, but I bet he'll look awkward and all angles (since he's a growing teen), and I may want to poke out my eyeballs, if not my eardrums. Country is his thang, afterall.
5. Casy I predict he'll be predictably lame. He'll probably be ok - and have that smirk on his face - but he's just not that good. Time to go, pretty boy!
6. Big Mike - well, I don't think there is a Shania Twain song that he can croon to us....so...I don't think he'll do well. I didn't think he did well last week, but this week, there's no Tim to be the worst.

Without seeing the performances, I say Mike/Aaron gots to watch out!

HAHAHA - Posh Spice is HILARIOUS! Ryan's all on about how 'these are Posh's little friends' and she's sitting SUPER far away from them, tilting her emaciated body away from them even further while she reads the teleprompter. LOL.

Holy Moly, Black Eyed Peas are terrible! Are they past their prime?! Comment if you disagree!

Jeff Beck and Joss Stone- Ok, Miss Stone is slaying it. Well done! I don't so much care for the aged rocker.

Alicia Keys - #1:Not loving it. I feel a bit guilty saying it, but I think its 'pretty unexciting' is about as generous as a I feel. And the jumpsuit. Eesh.
#2: Better at the piano. Still not loving it.

Shania Twain next week, nice! Looking forward to that!

Top 7 - The "OW MY EARS" Edition

Well, here it is folks, Idol Gives Back week!
"Inspirational Songs"

Casey- Judging from the pre-material, I won't be into it. Yeah. He's so stiff! And that smile, sure makes it seem like he's having a good time, but it does not seem professional - it makes things seem karaoke. Overall: hated it. Shoot, Simon is right, lazy song choice indeed.
Lee- He looks nervous. Man - come on! We want some showmanship! Actually, he's not doing half bad. I don't 100% love how he changed up the song, but it was a pretty good performance. I don't really agree that he had a 'moment', but still, not bad.
Tim- OW MY EARS. He's way out of tune. This is it for him. The whole song he's so off. Good ending though, highlights his pretty looks well.
Aaron- Aw, poor Aaron. He's got to grow into himself still - and still the jerky leg. It's hard for me to judge the performance, since I hate the song so much. I will quote my husband, "Better than the last one!"
Siobhan- Her breathing is too loud. You know, each week I am becoming less and less a fan of Siobhan. Ok, now she's back - the first part of the song, I can't stand her tone. Then suddenly, I like it. She has to balance on the right side of the fence, man! Excellent makeup on Siobhan, besides the lips, of course.
Big Mike- I'm expecting some lame and sappy. Actually, nice arrangement of the song. But I think his voice isn't powerful enough for the parts that should be tough and rough. So far, one of the better performances. Um...ok...maybe the judges did the right thing by keeping him.....we'll see.
Bowersox- She's awesome. Oh my. LOVE IT! Bowersox is #1! woooooo! She's so much better than the rest. Aw, her Dad is crying too behind the shades, I bet.

Judges-
Oh, I don't like Ellen's makeup today. Being so blond, she has to be careful with too much eye makeup. Kara's wonderful hair makes up for it though.

I realize that in my diatribe about the bottom 5 and the top 3 last week, I forgot Casey James. So it goes. And so shall he - if all goes according to talent, 4th last.

Top 7:
Bowersox: Expect to be still diggin' it.
Big Mike: Let's be frank here - he should be gone soon. This week, next week...we'll see. It matters not.
Aaron: He's starting to seem like a little twerp. Poor kid. I'm not sure this week will be good for him, given his country twang.
Casey: I also don't expect this week to be good for him. I think he'll put out a weak performance. He does have a slightly weak chin, you know.
Siobhan: This could be very very good for her. I'd like to see her not dress like a freak this week.
Lee: Boring but ok, is what I expect. Judges will rave.
Tim: I think dimples may not do so well this week, its going to be a toughie - and VERY dependant on song choice.

Ok, so I'm feeling a little mean tonight, sorry. But this is a big week coming up with Idol Gives Back and all! Do we get Brad Pitt this year, is what I want to know!

Well...it could have been any of the 'bottom 5' - Andrew, Big Mike, Tim, Katie and Aaron. So any one of those people could have left, and we could all go back to our regularly scheduled business. The next three weeks are simply to cut the rest of the 'bottom 5'.

The Bottom 5 are simply not in the same league as the top 3. If any one of the top 3 were to go, THAT would be a shocker - there would be cries of 'America got it wrong' and all that. Then those judges would have wished they kept that save.

Andrew, despite the last few performances, he just had too much baggage to get over, and he never really showed glimpses of brilliance that would put him in the Top 3.

Now I was actually getting used to Katie! I used to think of her as 'ol' one eye', and every time she opened her mouth, it made me upset - but she has gotten better over the last few weeks. And she is slightly more comfortable on stage than she used to be.

So while I won't miss them, they both had a good run. And we get to keep dimples for another week. ;)

Oh, and I will say one more thing - Crystal's makeup on Wednesday night looked fantastic! She looked so pretty - she should keep it up!

Bowersox - Good as usual - but not my favourite performance of hers.
Andrew - good. Like it.
Tim - Ouch ouch ouch. Brutal. Poor Timmy. Time to go.
Lee - Ugh. This is the best Elvis song, and he made is super lame instead of super cool.
Aaron - Hated it. Vocals weren't terrible, but his wandering around the stage was.
Siobhan - Enjoying the outfit! Much better than the last few weeks - she's back. I will disagree with Kara, I do not think she has a 'crazy screaming voice' in this performance. This is when the judges are being hypocritical. The whole reason we love her is because she's unique and unpredictable.
Big Mike - pretty good. Still, he never moves me. It was acceptable - but will it save him...? Not sure.
Katie - Good Lord, what is she wearing? Kids these days. I didn't really enjoy the song.
Casey - The goofy smile is back. He of looks very self-satisfied after every vocal challenge has been met - kills it for me. Didn't love it.

Bottom two... I will say Aaron and Andrew - although I think Andrew was better than Tim this week.

So this week, it is 'Songs of Elvis'?
And we're kicking two off, right.

So my Monday thoughts/predictions:
Cyrstal: will rock like usual
Andrew: will slay it, bringing us to wonder - might he actually survive the double elmination?
Tim: I predict he'll do well. And Tim - more dimples this week, sir!
Aaron: I predict it will be sorta lame. And we'll wonder about him.
Big Mike: I also predict it will be lame, but the judges will love it. They have to now that they wasted their save on him. I predict BM will go on to be kicked off Wednesday.
Siobhan: may kill it...or we may start to hear things like "self-indulgent"...could go either way. Siobhan - reign it in and stay in control, you can do it!
Lee: I predict he'll do best this week. This should suit his voice to a tee.
Casey: I predict it will be lame and goofy, but chicks will dig it.
Katie: Ah....it can go either way, I think. No, scratch that - I think she has a 72% chance of doing alright.

I say....Aaron and Big Mike are gone. Let's see if one of them hits it out of the ballpark, and maybe I'll change my mind! :)

Told you so.

There, now that's off my system, we can talk about poor Mike. Well...he was not enough people's #1, right? That's how it goes. I was FAR more fond of Lilly - I still think she was amazing, and could have been top 5.

Mike - well, at least for me, didn't keep me interested. But - SAVED. I think we'll loose him and Andrew Garcia next week - possibly Tim Urban, depending on how he does.

I don't approve of this save thingy - two people gone next week could be killer.

Andrew goes home is my prediction - not that I think he should, but I do think he's least popular.

Ryan is all on about a 'surprise' tonight - in this case I change my prediction, I think Big Mike is going home. Checkout votefair.org - they've been predicting Big Mike could be a surprise elimination at any point.

Top 9, Season 9

Well, Paul McCartney didn't exactly show up, but he did put a goofy word in at the front.... I suppose he still needs the publicity, without lowering himself to American Idol.

I'm liking the contestants talk about each other rather than having a mentor this week. Its revealing things about their personalities we wouldn't otherwise know. And frankly, mentors can get boring - yeah, yeah, they're all really great, blah blah.

Aaron - sleepy! Quite boring. But safe, I'm sure. I'm not even sure I watched the whole thing, boring boring boring.
Katie - not half bad! I'm quite surprised. Well Miss Katie, maybe you won't get eliminated tomorrow night! Well, not sure she won't be in the bottom 3, but there is a good chance she won't be the loser tomorrow.
Andrew - fun! I dig it. Pretty much. I think maybe the reason he leaves Simon with the "boring" impression is that he doesn't move at all when he sings....? He could do with more movin' around.
Big Mike - pretty darn good. I'm pretty surprised. I actually paid attention to most of it! Normally Big Mike doesn't hold my attention. A pec contest? This is showing Big Mike doesn't really have much depth, he's just likely to be there.
Bowersox - First of all, I think she should be playing an electric guitar, not an acoustic one. Secondly, she doesn't seem to know the song that well - she keeps looking down at her fingers as she sings and going away from the microphone. It feels amateurish and unpracticed. Dang it Bowersox, we all had such high hopes. I mean, it was ok, she ought to stay, but I'm already looking froward to next week for her. Also, I think the didgeridoo is too weird for Americans. She has to trim back on the weird.
La Urbanya - Well, not bad. You know. Considering. Could have used more dimples. Ellen is totally on the ball, 2nd best Tim-performance.
Casey - Excellent. Wow, I'm shocked. His guitar playing was also excellent. And for once he didn't just have a goofy smile on his face.
Siobhan - Terrible. Like, woah. Worst performance tonight. Really hideous. She just doesn't have the pipes to sit there and sing like she's Celine Dion. And my husband noted that she was 'boring' every time she opened her mouth during the contestant comments -he's sort of right, I have to admit. I'm loving the Siobhan a little less tonight.
Lee - Well, I don't think the song quite suited his voice. I have to give him props for the bagpipe, but it sort of looks like it was copying the didgeridoo - not his fault, but that's just how it comes across. I'm not a huge Lee fan, but this was ... ok.

All in all, it was actually a good show. Maybe season 9 doesn't suck so hard after all? Do you agree? Leave me your comments!

Well, I haven't been blogging, because this season has been so... boring. Almost no one is good. Surprisingly, I've still been watching, but the spirit hasn't moved me to actually comment on it. I can't believe there aren't 10 good singers in America - the judges have done a terrible job this time.

My Tuesday-morning thoughts:

Crystal Bowersox: Will probably slay the Beatles tonight. She's the only one with real talent, and seems to be old enough to know what she's about, and to try and not give in to to the whole "American Idol" scene - I'm SURE she's someone who has mocked the show in past years.

Siobhan Magnus: You know, I love Siobhan, but... she's sort of hit and miss. You can see that in her voice. In the right range, she can hit it, but she can over-extended, and it ends up a big miss. I love her quirkiness, and I bet her performance will be fun, and I hope it sounds good too. I'm also up for NO SCREAMING - just this once, to show she can do it.

Lee DeWyze: He strikes me as one of those people who want to screw up, then spend the rest of their lives complaining about how he screwed it up. The pressure is huge, and he doesn't really believe he's not a screw-up. But I predict a strong performance tonight, same as usual. Guy with a guitar, and a good voice - but is it exciting? Would I buy his records? No.

Katie Stevens: Can't stand her. Wish she hadn't ever made it to the top 24. This is a dangerous week for her. I personally don't like her tone, and think she's too young to really have much about her, but probably she'll do o.k. this week with the Beatles...which doesn't make her safe. She just doesn't have the appeal that the swarm voters go for.

Andrew Garcia: So I've always been an Andrew Garcia fan. But. The judges keep on about how boring he is, and this has always made me rebel and think "He's not boring, he's great", but..... I now think he's boring. He needs to liven it up a little more. The producers are trying to help by bringing on his Mom, but it sort of fell flat. Why don't they show more of that wife? She looks interesting. So I predict his performance will be fine, but a wee bit boring. I can watch him on mute.

Casey James: Ok, I also find Casey boring. I... don't know, he just doesn't do it for me. Singing is ok, but I feel no connection. I'm sure he'll do fine, the judge will tell him he's on fire, then I'll forget it 2 seconds later.

Aaron Kelly: I think he'll make a lovely country star. Fine. He's not for me, but I do think he's got a great personality, he seems like a nice kid. Not that he should win, but he should advance with no trouble. He might do a bad job this week, hard to say. Song choice.

Michael Lynche: While I think he's a very nice guy, every time he sings I get bored and start reading a book. With Crystal I'm enthralled during the performance, waiting to see what's next. With Big Mike - (yawn), what else is going on? I think I'd be ready for a surprise elimination of him.

which brings us to everybody's fav,
Tim Urban: Now, I'm rooting for this boy. He's great. Not a great singer, but great in attitude. And, the rules of the contest are made for this sort of guy. Dimples, cool, nice attitude - America loves him. Its great. He's sort of like a train wreck with dimples. And there is always the chance he'll actually be good - Hallelujah was great. Something like that could carry him for another few weeks.

Well that was the most boringist episode ever. And really, I mean, I love American Idol. For me to not like an episode is rather shocking.

I suppose they are just giving us a little face time with people that have made it through Hollywood? Which is good....but I suggest maybe there are better ways to do this?

I did like that DiDi's voice, but I protest the spelling of her name - it should be "Dee Dee" - trust me, I'm an expert in Dee Dees. And all that crying was a wee bit over the top, eh? I think her blood sugar was low. That's not about her dead friend, that's about her being nervous and waiting in line for hours and not eating. Which is understandable. I suppose they had to have something to 'make her interesting'.

I would vote to only go to six cities. I was tired of all that and wanted to get to Hollywood by the start of Denver.

And the previews showed Ellen being mean. I don't know if I can handle Ellen mean. She ought to be cheery and sunny at all times, non? When a really super nice person is mean to you, its just terrible. Like if Simon is mean, it is expected. But Ellen? Yikes. She might as well take out some knives and cut out their little hearts.

Well, I suppose Hollywood episodes are already in the can, one can only hope they aren't too scary!

Our first profiled hopeful up, Theo - well, I have to say, the judges were REALLY nice. I'm glad. Sometimes they are so mean. Sure, he had mirrors glued onto his face - but he has feelings too. I like how Kara held his hands for a bit. That was really nice.

Man, Kara is all over the place. Sometimes nice, sometimes mean. Well, I suppose its natural...only Paula was perma-nice.

Seth. I like it. He seems so nice.

Wow, I'm all over the word "nice" tonight, eh? Nice.

OK. Seriously, why do they always say "Best I've seen." I do NOT think Jermaine was even close to the best. Sure, he's a better singer than me, but the best? Nope.

Ahh...Shelby with the half-face...I likes....yay for her! Good.

Ok, what's up with the guest judge not showing up for Day 2?!?!? Doesn't she know this is the most influential show on TELEVISION!? Um, hello!?!? American Idol! Most people watch it!

I'm not convinced the convict was that good. He's ok. He seems kind of shady. I think they were just looking for a story.

Ok, I confess, the name "Kristen Chenoweth" was not known to me, I had to let my fingers do the walking, and look her up. So she's some sort of famous opera singer/actress/broadway singer. Ok. So she's got some street cred. And she's easy on the eyes. Let see how she does as an Idol judge!

So I'm pretty excited about Miss Shania Twain as a guest judge! There was a time, when I was in Cowboyland for 4 winter months, when every Friday night we'd go to the bar "Cowboys", and those perky Shania Twain songs would be the only recognizable songs they would play.

Even just the starting bars of "Man, I feel like a Woman" is enough to make me want to get up and shake my boots. And of course, Miss Twain is awesome because she's Canadian, and she's awesome because she's from Timmons, and she's awesome because she lives in Switzerland.

So what sort of guest judge will she turn out to be???

WELL! Shania certainly is no Posh - she has an opinion, she's not afraid to share it!

Ok, so Chicago was sort of weak, yeah? But Shania was not. Shania was really awesome - she seemed like a real professional. I noticed Kara was looking to Shania by the end of Day 2 - for she was the superior musician.

Well, here's hoping Orlando is more exciting. These one hour episodes are hard, I feel they don't profile enough candidates.

Ok, I managed to finagle a copy of the premiere.

and...OHMYGOSH I love Ellen! I got goosebumps when she announced! This is going to be great! Not that I don't love Paula...and unless Ellen starts with the drinking, there won't be as many whoopsies that make my heart go pitter-patter.... but still, if we have to replace Paula, Ellen is a wonderful choice!

So, I have been looking forward to this show with Posh Spice for ever - I don't think I've actually ever heard her speak. And MAN, is she skinny! ok, let's have it, skinny bitch! (I am quoting the diet book here, not Posh's attitude - for that, we'll have to wait and see).

Awww....I like Maddy....I'm glad she got through! Althought obvi they wouldn't have shown us that little tear-jerker beforehand if she wasn't getting a golden ticket....

ROFL with the Italian guy! That was super awesome. We had a little debate if he was going to get through or not after they previewed his family.... but yeah, he's fun, and i'm liking his voice. Funiculee Funicula!

Wow. Ok, Kara was MEAN to that glasses man. Really over the top, mean. I think that was uncalled for.

And now I've waited to the end of the episode to give my opinion on Posh as a guest host. She was so scared, poor little posh. Day 1 she made no comments without first looking at Kara. In fact, I don't believe she ever made a judgment that disagreed with Kara. You'll notice day 2 they moved her, so she couldn't glance at Kara before showing emotion. And in fact, by the end of day 2 she would say something without full agreement with Kara.

But I think its hard. Kara is sitting there, all balls and heart, and Posh - well, I don't think she does quite know if someone is good or not. Kara has formal musical training, Posh was the pretty one. So, Posh is afraid to look silly, and doesn't really say anything on her own.

You'll notice all Posh's comments about fashion came straight from the heart, she said them without any validation from anyone else - I do believe her heart lies in Fashion, nowhere close to music.

BUT, she still made a great guest judge. Guest judges never add anything usful anyway. She was like a fierce skinny statue - no emotion until she knew which way it was going to go.

Well, I missed the first episode. Boo, me.

American Idol is in Atlanta now - I am straining my eyes looking for my cousin Laurie in the crowds, I thought I might have seen her in a crowd shot early on. I've always said she should be on American Idol! You can reference my wedding for Lauren's beautiful songbird qualities.

Ok, no Lauren. But it was still a good episode - mostly because its classic American Idol, it's back, and I missed it! (And obviously I would have heard about it if Laurie was on. She's a grownup now, and...uh...not American....)

Mary J Blige wasn't...well, very exciting, if you ask me. I surely hope I can download that first episode - was Ellen on it? I bet SHE would have been exciting!

Prediction 1:
That hick Vancessa is a SCAMMER! "Aeroplane" my ass! She's playing up her part, and those LA types that produce the show are eating it up. I believe all that shy retiring maiden stuff is a total hoax - and showing her in her bikini jumping off bridges? Really?! I do believe she will be interesting, but not necessarily make it past Hollywood. I think the nerves were real, but I think she's savvy. I think we'll see the real Vanessa in Hollywood when they have to work in groups without getting enough sleep. She looks like a fighter, is all I can say.

8 girls, 8 guys. This being a kick-off show, we lose a few losers.

Ok, so I've been too busy to watch TV lately. Sorry. I will try to have less friends in the future.

4 are leaving. 2 girls, 2 guys. What's the deal? Is this planned? What's going on? Geez, a girl skips out a couple weeks and suddenly there are all these gender-based rules? That's Whack.

Mario, Lindsay, Anthony and Vonzel. In. Fine, who cares?

Now on to our rocker boyz - Constantine and Bo. Constantine makes me go "Ew". I don't often go "Ew". That's a bad sign. My opinion is continues to be reinforced with every passing second of camera time. Yay, Bo is in! America, you may not be able to elect a president, but at least you can pick the best rocker on American Idol. No, wait, I take it back - they were just fucking with us, Constantine is in. This sucks. Wait, no, I that that back. Maybe I'll love to hate him. We all need some we love to hate - I vote for Constantine!

My favourite part is when Seacrest says, "Remember, two of you are going to go home tonight, one of you stays." No shit. Good thing he reminded them, they probably forgot.

On to dashing more dreams. Its the boy leftovers. I hope the fattie stays. YAY - fattie is in! He has some personality, and from what I remember about his audition, a nice set of pipes!

Now one more spot for the ladies....yeesh, I can't stand that creepy eyelash girl. Frig, she made it in. Meh. OHMIGOD she's also got some creepy pink boots on. Creepy McCreep, I say!

This show has some weird ass production, man! What was with that "fake happy clearly pretaped yay I'm still in" bullshit?

Ok, next week I'll try to actually watch the show, drink more, and you'll have a bang-on review.

American Idol visits San Francisco

Like everyone should.

I have to admit, I would not have started this blog so early, were it not for a visit to my fair city, San Francisco. Its hard to make all those clever, snarky comments so early in the season.

Guest judge: Brandy. Let's see if she lives up to LL Cool J.

So far I am noticing none of the contestants are actually from San Francisco. This is bogus. The closest I've seen so far is Stockten. Stockten my ass.

Christopher Knowle (he was that clever young man who 'rapped') said it best - Fuck that shit!

My only comments for the show:
I will go so far as to say the skinny girl with the big hair from Miami will be in the top ten, but other than that....too early to comment.

Brandy wasn't as good as LL Cool J, but that's to be expected. She did a good job - now, if she would have given some love like Mr. L. L. C. J, I would have dug it. When he hugged those poor tone-deaf people it brought tears to me eyes, it did.

Next week we have 193 contestants to look forward to in Hollywood. Don't expect a stupid blog post. Most of them are not long for this world (clearly here I mean world to be American Idol, since we all know that's the important bit).
